Who loves London?
You will once summer hits us good and proper! One of the best festivals of last year was Fruitstock - a free music, food and drink festival set up by Innocent Smoothies. It wasn't quite Ben and Jerry's (no free icecream you see) but it was a fine day under the sun in Regent's Park.
For some reason, Fruitstock is no more... but Innocent have replaced it with a fete on the village green.
Here's what the folk there have to say about the event on the 4th and 5th August.
"Everything's going to be done properly. Homemade cakes, a big farmers market, excellent live music, loads of stuff for kids to do, fruit and veg competitions, real ale and cider, ferret racing, Morris dancers, dog agility, miles and miles of bunting, and even the odd smoothie. Weve already booked lots of acts (including The Epstein, Ben Westbeech, and Grantura) and the list is growing daily."
Unlike last year it's going to be ticketed (all the profits go to charity). Good news if you ask me... it'll stop overcrowding and the porta-loo lines that come with it. Its £5 for adults, £2.50 for kids, and under 3s go free.
Get them ASAP though folks... once the word spreads, these babies will go fast.
