Glasto: Was it good for you?

They came, they saw (and some of them are still there). Yep, Glastonbury may have been water-logged but the fans and acts celebrated regardless.
Our very own Glasto battler is still there packing up his tent and cleaning his 'Loo in a bucket' so until he drags is muddy feet back into the office, here's a wrap up of some of the best of this year's best acts.
Lucky:
It depends on how you look at it, but some would say luck was on The Pigeon Detectives' side when lingerie was thrown onstage during their set. For the unsupported fan however... well - I guess she bounced her way through the rest of the fest.
See The Pigeon Detectives again... in a warm, dry venue. Pigeon Detective tickets here.
Gobby:
Lily Allen's set included all the favourites and (surprise, surprise) the odd dig or two at Cheryl Cole (Tweedy). Lynval Golding and Terry Hall (The Specials) joined Lily onstage for a rendition of 'Blank Expression' and her brother; Alfie joined her on stage to close with... wait for it - 'Alfie'.
Apparently Lily was later almost hit by a mic stand thrown by New Young Pony Club singer Tahita Bulmer during their set. Maybe there's not all love for little miss Lily...

Brassy:
Dirty Pretty Things got brassy with it with some trumpet action at the end of their set. Carl Barat led a sodden but memorable set.
See The Dirty Pretty Things in their next live gig. Tickets here.
Foxy:
CSS firecracker Lovefoxxx floated in more ways than one during Saturdays set on the Other Stage. Not only did she suck enough helium to float the Good Year Blimp, she also set off into the crowd for a spot of crowd surfing - twice. Pair that with the usual top class set and bright cat suits and you've got yourself a 'musical moment in time'.

Mossy:
Babyshambles were joined on stage by Lethal Bizzle and Kate Moss during their Other Stage set. They also played 'Time For Heroes' and 'Back From The Dead' by Pete's former band, The Libertines.
Enjoyed Babyshambles? See them in the flesh again. Babyshambles tickets here.
Funky:
The Killers' set was never going to be a dull affair. Frontman Brandon Flowers' outfit alone was a head turner. Decked in a gold suit, the lead singer cut a sparkling figure against the fireworks that lit up the stage during four of their songs. As for the purpose of the antlers on the keyboard... your guess is as good as ours.
The Who closed the whole shebang with a greatest hits set on the Pyramid Stage. NME reported the details of their full set and what was a suitably atmospheric performance. I think Pete Townsend summed it all up perfectly: ""It maybe muddy, it maybe wet but you have been fantastic. Thank you Glastonbury."
Wet, muddy... but would you have it any other way?
And quote of the festival goes to:
Simon Niel (Biffy Cyro)
"Fair play to you guys for having a good time in the f****** rain. When everyone dies God is gonna give you a handjob."
